Mortgage rates were largely unchanged this week as concerns about inflation fueled by strong economic growth were offset by comments from Fed Chairman Bernanke suggesting that a pause in the current rate increase cycle may be imminent. Long bond prices continue to be pressured by overseas rate increases, however, so early locking is advised.
